Immunohistochemistry & Immunofluorescence Hands-on Training Course

AAA is partnering with the Histochemical Society to help fund two travel grants to this 4.5-day laboratory short course is ideal for experimental and translational research scientists, diagnosticians, and technical staff who are new to immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence or those with experience who aim to take their skills to the next level. The faculty are expert practitioners with diverse backgrounds in terms of the theory and application of these techniques as well as microscopy. Faculty to student ratios are low (1:3 or better) to maximize participants’ experience at the course and foster networking opportunities during and beyond the course. Lunch and dinner will be included. 

Workshops are hosted at the Bioscience Education Center (BEC), located on the Montgomery College - Germantown Campus.  AAA will fund two $500 Travel Awards for eligible applicants who have already pre-registered through BioTrac and Montgomery College.

Criteria and Eligibility

  • Must be a current member 
  • Must have already pre-registered through BioTrac and Montgomery College.
  • Materials submitted by applicant: 
    • One (1) page letter of intent describing the anticipated of attending and how the award would help your ability to attend.
    • CV (NIH biosketch format preferred) not to exceed 5 pages
    • Letter of Recommendation
