Thanks for your interest in joining the American Association for Anatomy (AAA)! Please select from the membership options below to begin your application. The approval process for new members may take up to two weeks, but in the meantime you can still submit an abstract, apply for an award, or register for our Annual Meeting as a member. Membership dues are billed per calendar year. Renewal payments are due annually by December 31.

Staff, faculty, clinicians, technicians, and other professionals interested in the anatomical sciences and anatomy related field. Benefits include, access to Anatomy Network, e-news, awards, committee appointments, and more.

Professional Application

Available to postdoctoral fellows or medical residents who are actively engaged in research on anatomical or related topics in an educational institution or working under the guidance of an established researcher or educator.

Discounted membership available for members of the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS). Membership is open to all current HAPS members, and includes access to the website, educational resources, bi-weekly e-news, and electronic access to Anatomical Sciences Education, our education-focused journal.  HAPS Affiliate members are not eligible to vote.

The Society for Craniofacial Genetics and Developmental Biology (SCGDB) is an affiliate of AAA. Membership provides reduced registration fees for annual meetings, the right to stand for office and vote in SCGDB elections, and eligibility for SCGDB Excellence in Craniofacial Research, Service, travel and other SCGDB sponsored awards. Prorated and reduced dues are available as follows:

  • Members who join in the first quarter pay full dues.
  • Members who join in the second or third quarter pay a prorated rate.
  • Members who join in the fourth quarter are billed at the full rate, with dues applied through December 31 of the following year.
  • A reduced membership dues rate is available for members living in the countries classified as Low Income based on World Bank ranking of economies. To get the discounted rate contact Liz.
