Robert M. Klein, Ph.D., FAAA

2021 Recipient

Like so many of my colleagues, I have dedicated my career to the progress of students — from white coat ceremony to MD hooding — as these learners develop the outstanding knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors required to begin postgraduate training. As a faculty member in my 46th year of teaching at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, this award represents the culmination of my efforts in mentoring the next generation of anatomists and educating researchers, future physicians and other health care professionals. My involvement in AAA has allowed me to develop lasting personal and professional relationships with colleagues from around the world. My hope is that I can continue to represent the principles and values of the Henry Gray Distinguished Educator Award in my future years at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
