Annual Meeting at EB 2020

Submit your abstract to be part of our most important meeting of the year!

AAA will host 150 expert speakers and thought leaders, more than 450 anatomy-related poster presentations, and 50 symposia at EB 2020 – the world’s largest gathering of anatomical science researchers and educators. Shine a spotlight on your own research by submitting an abstract.

  • On-Time Abstracts are programmed as oral and poster presentations.
  • Last-Chance Abstracts are programmed as poster presentations.
  • Science Outreach Abstracts are featured at the EB Welcome Reception.

This is your opportunity to share your research, expertise, and insights with a large audience.

Science Outreach Activity Abstracts

Due Jan. 30, 2020

Showcase your science communication (scicomm) – submit your Science Outreach Activity Abstract, a non-scientific abstract specifically devoted to promoting outreach activities. Abstracts are not published and there is no submission fee. Abstracts are programmed as posters at the EB Welcome Reception on Saturday, April 4

Before you submit an abstract...

Deadlines & Fees

Regular Abstracts ($75 fee) are due November 14, 2019
Science Outreach Activity Posters ($75 fee) are due January 30, 2020
Last-Chance Abstract Submissions ($100 fee) are due January 30, 2020

Eligibility

Due to EB's scientific integrity policy, student members cannot sponsor their own abstract. Instead, AAA will require students’ professors or advisors to be listed as the sponsor. Get more information about sponsorship eligibility.

Guidelines & Submission Requirements

Here’s the fine print – if you read the step-by-step submission guidelines, you’ll have an easier time assembling your submission, and your abstract will have a better chance of getting selected if it meets requirements.

Abstract Submission 101

Unsure about how to choose a topic category? Don’t know how to format your submission or where to put supporting graphics or tables? Can’t remember what key statements and summaries must be included? It’s all here! Remember, the best entries are the ones that demonstrate preparation and adherence to EB’s abstract submission requirements.

On-Time Abstracts

The deadline for On-Time Abstracts expired November 18, 2019. For reference, below are the On-Time Abstract topics.

Platform & Hybrid Symposium Topic Sessions (oral presentations)

Abstracts submitted to the following topics will be considered for an oral presentation in either a hybrid or platform session. Submitting to one of these categories does not guarantee an oral presentation. A hybrid symposium includes an invited talk and up to four 15-minute oral presentations selected from abstracts; a platform session includes six 15-minute oral presentations selected from abstracts.
